A real update
Apr. 6th, 2006 05:40 pmSo, Annie Jr. is coming along. We have six scenes learned and the kiddos are hilarious to watch, especially the Miss Hannigan, Lily and Rooster. They've really gotten into their parts and *shakes head in amusement* I'm so impressed with them, especially since they're fifth and fourth graders. The other kids are also doing well, and 'It's a hard knock life' looks amazing, and our Annie is no longer shy and has this great attitude.
I will be astounded if we pull this off because its an elementary school production and I work in the inner city and these kids have never experienced theater productions before. And we booked a real theater, not the silly one in our gym, had professional photos taken and everything. The kids are excited, I'm excited, and the parents are just amazed (and slightly annoyed that their kids play their Annie cds nonstop hehehe).
We have five more scenes to learn but they've all got their lines memorized so its just blocking off the scenes and getting them to show emotion! And teaching them the last couple of dances. :D
