OMG yay to a meetingless day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my kiddos. They were so great today, even with 5 days off they still knew what to do and I really can't believe I have 20 of them in my room. They act a whole heck of a lot better than my 15 from last year...though I had 10 boys, 5 girls, my class dynamics were insane.

But I got to see all my old students. And one of the kinder teachers told me, Napoleon cried and wanted to go back to my class. *g* I shouldn't be happy that a kid cried but *squishes him* They've all grown so tall and the kinder teachers are all impressed with what they know and can do! Yay!

But I love my kiddos now. They're such a quiet group and they love to read, which is great because I love reading books aloud. They could sit forever and listen to me read. *squee* Plus, they love science and bugs and think every bug we see is my pet because I told them not to kill a spider that made its way into our room the first day of school and told them it was my pet. Now every bug belongs to me apparently. Not sure how I feel about that.

And OMG [livejournal.com profile] sionnain I said 'thingo' today in school. I totally blame you!!!! :P

I hope everyone had a great day!!!! :D

Woo! My kiddos were great, pretty much well behaved and were going through the routine. Though, it was the first day so they were probably all a bit shy and stuff. Though I was proud that they could line up and walk in a line nicely, unlike the other two classes that were in complete chaos.

One of my kiddos had a shirt with Wolverine, Daredevil, and Spiderman on it. I did not squee...not really anyway. Plus, when I joined the group in the library center, they were all really interested in the Pirates of the Caribbean Look and Find that I bought. But my group seems to be pretty mellow and a number of them already know some letters and picked up on identifying their name, which is good.

But am tired and hungry now as only brought a peanut butter sandwich for lunch. :P

Hope everyone had a great day! :)

If I hear one more person sing 'Colors of the Wind' I shall kill them. Just because I have my hair in braids does not mean I shall allow you to call me Pocahontas or randomly erupt into song. *glares at fellow teachers*

And nice staff people, please don't tell me that I didnt put in a work order for my clock last year and then be all kinds of irritated when I show you a copy of the e-mail that proves I did. Seriously though, do you know how annoying it is to have a clock that is 1 h and 20 min slow? oy vey.

Also, AC please stop cutting off at twelve. There are still 2 and a half hours of school left. Thank you.

But, kids are cute, especially those I got to test today. Every single one of them slapped my hand when I said "Give me five blocks". *giggles* Good to know we have that down. And one kid called brown chocolate. :P

Ah, shall be an interesting year.
